Ok, so as I was telling
sugarmommaless just a few short hours ago, I, too, have been having a few Weenie fantasies of my own, partially because with a last name like mine, it's really the only acceptable option, and partially because they're just so damn cute. When Sadie came along and needed a place to stay, the Unicorn and I took her in, knowing full well that it might be for the long haul. I was a little disappointed that I wasn't going to get to research and pick out the dog of my dreams, but fostering and possibly adopting Sadie has been incredibly fulfilling and after only a week, I'm already head-over-heels in love with her.
So as I mentioned before, we took Sadie in to be spayed this morning and early this afternoon, I received a text message from BFF reporting that Sadie's surgery was a success and that she'd be ready to come home tonight.
A few minutes later, I received this, captioned "Your new puppy. Seriously.":

followed by this:

and finally, this:

She's a 17-week-old Chihuahua/Dachschund mix (3/4 Chihuahua; 1/4 Weenie), is super affectionate, good with both kids and other dogs....and she needs a home! I've been happily, thankfully pet-free for a number of years now and had just begun to think about getting a cat or a dog this past spring and summer. But I was going to be away a lot and then was going to have to deal with the chaos of moving when I got back, so I wasn't in any rush--when I was ready, I figured I'd know it. I didn't think I was ready yet, even for Sadie, but as I said, I'm crazy for her and crossing all my fingers and toes that our foster home becomes a permanent one. I'm really torn. On the one hand, adopting 2 dogs in the same week is a little insane, even for me, but on the other hand, are 2 dogs (one of which is a mere 3.5lbs) really that much more work than one?
Folks, I ask you--what do I do (poll to follow in the next post because I couldn't get it to work in this one)?
