A little story

There was a girl in my Mum's hometown* who was names Luvenia! And Luvenia had a sister named Minerva. And though Minerva is the name of the goddess of wisdom, poor MInerva and Luvenia came up short. Mum's best stories had to do with how dearly dumb L & M were. A highlight includes them thinking that you could substitute any food into a recipe as long as it was the same colour as the absent food item.

* Mum's hometown, which is a lobster fishing community on the East Coast of Canada, is filled with fabulous old fashioned names like Pearl, Gorham, Alberta, Thurston, Garfield, etc.
